Obituary for Shirley Williams
Shirley K. (Lenger) Williams, age 67 of Holland, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at home after a brief illness.
Shirley was born on June 18, 1947, in Grand Rapids to Dewey and Gertrude Lenger. She worked in the test lab for Herman Miller and Yonkers for many years. Shirley was very involved in Relay for Life and New Richmond Baptist Church, where she served as the church secretary, in the Ladies ministries, and spent countless hours helping to decorate the church.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Tom Lenger.
She is survived by her husband Russell Williams; children and grandchildren, Shawn Lenger (Brendon and Delaney), Jennifer (Haan) Breen (Lily), and Nicole (Haan) and Brian Zalewski; sisters, Sharon Worst, Susan and Paul Richards, and Sandra Lenger. She is also survived by many extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, January 2, 2015 at New Richmond Baptist Church, 1909 Transport Lane, Holland, MI 49423. Dr. Franklin Senters will officiate. Burial will be in East Saugatuck Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, from 11:30am until the time of the service at New Richmond Baptist.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
